We’re very fortunate that our dedicated staff volunteer their time to run a variety of after-school clubs and activities. We aim to offer a broad range of opportunities for different age groups, depending on staff availability and expertise. Please note that places may be limited depending on the nature of the activity.
There is no charge for clubs run by school staff.
Club Days and Times
Clubs run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and finish at 4:30pm.
Clubs this term:
There are some weeks each term when clubs will not run due to staff commitments such as: joint staff & Governor meetings; training sessions & PTFA events.
You can check which weeks we run clubs on our website https://www.pontllanfraithprimary.co.uk/calendar- please do this rather than ring the office to check. It is extremely rare for us to cancel a club. Please assume that unless the website says 'no clubs', or you have not been contacted by us, then clubs are running.
Please note that dates for this term are still not finalised (we are still waiting on some external dates) but we do not want to delay booking places. We should be able to release dates very soon. Our provisional dates for starting clubs are 23rd & 24th September.
Important:
If your child is in school but not attending their usual club on a particular day, please inform the school that morning—either by email or by calling the school office. This helps us ensure every child is accounted for and safe.
Applying for Clubs
Due to limited spaces and high demand for some clubs, we operate an application system using a Google Form.
This form is open for a limited time and will close on Tuesday September 16th at 9am. If you miss the deadline, your child may still be able to join depending on numbers - please contact the school office to ask. If not, they will be prioritised for the following term.
A separate form must be completed per child, per club (you may apply for more than one club per child).
Once applications are received, we will confirm whether your child has a place. If a club is oversubscribed, we may rotate membership after half a term or a full term to give more children a chance to participate.
We will aim to confirm places at clubs by the end of the day on Friday 19th September (but hopefully before that). Confirmation will be sent by text message.
Please note: Club membership is reviewed each term, and a place in the Autumn Term does not guarantee a place in the Spring Term if demand is high.
