Week of April 28-May 2, 2025
Principal Message
Happy May! As we enter the final stretch of the school year, there's a renewed energy in the building – from spring sunshine streaming through our windows to the joyful buzz of students eagerly engaging in their learning. May promises to be a vibrant and exciting month at our school!
We are especially thrilled to invite you to our Dance Residency Showcase on Friday, May 2nd in the school gym. After a wonderful week of movement and creativity, our students are ready to shine and share what they’ve learned:
Kindergarten A & B will perform at 11:00 AM
Grades 1–6 will take the stage at 2:00 PM
We warmly welcome all families to join us for this special celebration of the arts. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see our students’ confidence, teamwork, and joy in action.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership in your child’s learning journey. We look forward to seeing many of you on Friday!
Mrs. Carr-Jeschke & Mrs. McNamee

Grade 2 Oiler's Artifact Media Event
This year, Ms. Stachniak's class participated in a week of Inquiring Minds at the Royal Alberta Museum. While there, the class noticed the Oiler's Display included items from the 80s and 90s- but nothing current. The students decideed to write the Oilers on behalf of the RAM, and ask for current donations to be made to the Museum. The Oilers responded and sent 3 items- a pom pom, playoff cup and practice puck- all from last year's play off run.
On Wednesday April 23, the Grade 2 students officially handed over the items to the RAM- and media were there to capture the moment! We are so proud of the Grade 2 class and how they have created a bit of history for all Edmontonians that will live on in the Museum.

Student Pick Ups/Drop Offs
When dropping off/picking up students, please use the designated drop off zones. These are 96 Ave (in front of the school) and 145 Street (the west side of the school).
Please DO NOT use the staff parking lot for student drop offs or pick ups. There are a lot of blind spots and staff vehicles, along with Division vehicles, coming in and out of the lot. This creates a very unsafe environment for students to be walking through.
Please choose safety over convenience and use marked cross walks and drop off zones to ensure students arrive safely to and from school.
Thank you for your cooperation!
