Julius Reese Jr. is a 6’4”, 180-lb sophomore who has worked tirelessly to achieve his current status in collegiate basketball. From Cp3 all-stars to A&T, Reese has shown versatility both on and off the court.

Preparation for Greatness
Reese has engaged in community service including mentoring middle school students and serving as a tour guide in High School.
Reese was an active student academic advisory committee member here at North Carolina A&T. Additionally, he received the award for the best/top teammate award at Jay Bilas Camp in Charlotte.
“I have the best pops in the world," Reese said. I couldn’t ask for a better father than the one I got,” Acknowledging how his support system has contributed to his success on the court.

Reese practices the faith of Christianity.
In addition to his religious pursuits, he has actively contributed to his community by co-hosting an event aimed at helping young basketball players perfect their craft.
"God comes first," Reese said. His combination of faith and community service reflects Reese's dedication to personal growth and uplifting others.
Hometown and Family Life
Reese is from Kernersville North Carolina, he attended Glenn High School in Winston Salem and later transferred to Greensboro Day where he continued his basketball career.
Reese’s father (Julius Reese Sr.) and mother(Kimberly Reese) are high school sweethearts who fell in love when they were only 14.
"My father played football for UNC-Chapel Hill in 1993," Reese said. "therefore the guidance is there."
Beyond The Court
Reese shares a passion for basketball, baseball, and cross country he also has an interest in potentially playing baseball at North Carolina A&T.
“I would absolutely love to play two sports in college,” Reese said.
In addition to his athletic pursuits, Reese enjoys listening to R&B and hip-hop music.
Reese Faces Indefinite Suspension
Reese has been indefinitely suspended from the North Carolina A&T Basketball team due to violations of team rules.
On Thursday, January 30th, the North Carolina A&T athletic department released a statement to confirm that Reese and two other players would be suspended.
Hopefully, Reese can navigate this setback and return to being the highly talented student-athlete that he is.
A Legacy in the making
Julius Reese Jr. exudes great character, and versatility, both on and off the court. His journey through basketball reflects his dedication to the sport and his desire to give back and help others in his community.
Reese's viewpoint on the current events surrounding racial equality is rooted in his understanding of justice. The incident he mentioned, where police officers used excessive force against Black students at Winston-Salem State University, highlights his belief that systemic issues must be addressed.
Despite the obstacles that Reese faces with this season's suspension. He is still determined to be the best.
