First week back
Diolch yn fawr for all your support this half term. It seems like a long half term, but we made it.
Tomorrow staff will be training with Monster Phonics. This is a new programme that comes highly recommended. This will improve our learning & teaching of all areas of Language, Literacy & Communication.
On Monday 10th March we will have a Launch Day - we can come to school dressed up as Monsters / Superhero's / a Word!
Please can I encourage you to read with your child during the holidays.
The library is hosting free events that look like a lot of fun.
For those using Boom Reader, I am able to access the data and reward children with Dojo points for reading at home, either independently or with someone / or both!
We are a Catholic Family learning together
The first week back is a busy one, with lots of events. I have outlined each day to try and make things easier for you.
Thursday 6th March
World Book Day
School Council would like us to dress up as a character from a book OR a word
For those new to our school, you can pick a word;
- star - wear a jumper with a star
- green - wear all green
- me - wear your favourite jumper
There are lots of ideas on Pinterest. Please don't feel you need to go out and buy anything especially for the day.
Monday 10th March
Monster & Superhero Day
Launch Day for Monster Phonics & Superhero Spelling!
In order to create a buzz around our new LLC Programme, we will dress up and the day will be filled with activities on phonics / reading / spelling / writing.
As always, children who do not like dressing up can wear their favourite clothes.
