This is the first matchup between the Assumption Greyhounds and the Eckerd College Tritons.

Tritons Draw Against Lions, 1-1

SAINT LEO, Fla. - Despite taking the lead in the 65th minute, the Eckerd women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Saint Leo on the road on Tuesday night.

The game was off to a slow start and remained scoreless in the first half, with Eckerd outshooting Saint Leo 5-2 but unable to capitalize on their opportunities.

The Tritons had a chance to take the lead in the 52nd minute when Jillian Doerger was awarded a penalty kick, but the shot was turned aside by the Lions' goalkeeper. Eckerd took the lead in the 68th minute on a goal by Kendall Drummond, who received a bouncing ball from Amy Woodhead and ripped the ball to the top left corner for the 1-0 favor. Eckerd continued to press with nine second-half shots but couldn't add to its lead. Saint Leo responded quickly, finding an equalizer in the 75th minute. The Lions had a couple of opportunities to take their first lead in the waning minutes of the game, but Eckerd's defense was able to fend them off, ending the match in a 1-1 draw.

Cadence Talbert; GK; Geneseo, Ill.

Last season, Talbert started all 19 games of the season, playing a total of 1,710 minutes. She posted five clean sheets, recording a career-high 95 saves, with an 18-save performance in the 5-0 victory against Nova Southeastern. Talbert was named SSC Defensive Player of the Week following two shutouts after opening week, her second honor since receiving the same accolade in the 2023 season.

Sophia Butkovich; Defender/Midfielder; Belle River, Ontario

Last season, Butkovich appeared in 13 games with 11 starts, playing a total of 823 minutes. She recorded two assists for the season and contributed to four shutouts on the back line. Butkovich was named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2023.

Emma Lou Smith; Forward; South Windsor, Conn.

Smith is a two year member of the team, transferring in from Central Connecticut University. She was named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2023. Smith started the first Morgan's Message chapter at Eckerd College to educate fans, students, and athletes about student-athlete mental health awareness.

Ava Trachtenberg; Defender; Boca Raton, Fla.

Trachtenberg is a four year member of the team. She is a two time member of the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. In her first season, Trachtenberg appeared in 12 games, recording two shots with one on goal.

Sierra Hudson; Forward; Valrico, Fla.

Last season, Hudson appeared in 19 games with 14 starts, playing a total of 1,161 minutes. She registered 18 shots with 11 on goal, scoring one goal on the season. Hudson registered four assists for the season. In 2023, Hudson was named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Kendall Drummond; Forward; Valrico, FL

Last season, Drummond appeared in 19 games with 16 starts, playing a total of 1,443 minutes. She registered 32 shots, with 17 on target, scoring 10 goals for the season. Drummond had a career-high 4-goal haul against Lynn. Through her time at Eckerd, Drummond has been named to the SSC Offensive Player of the Week, the All-SSC Second Team, and the D2CCA Second Team All-Region.
