SETTING THE SCENE

Jordan Ouellette entered the 2024-25 campaign with 1257 career points, needing 554 points to match Stacy Manfredi's all-time scoring mark of 1806 points. To achieve the mark, Ouellette would need a historic season and average 22.16 points per game to reach the milestone. Maya Slisz began the year with 207 career assists, and like Ouellette, would require a record-breaking season to surpass Val Briggs' all-time lead of 345 career assists.

Historic regular seasons the duo had. Powering the Blue Jays to their second-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship in program history, Ouellette put herself within 11 points of becoming the all-time leading scorer. However, this would not be the only milestone that Ouellette could achieve, as the Bristol, Conn., native became the all-time leading rebounder in USJ history, after breaking Edna Caamano's mark of 781 career rebounds against Williams College on February 2, 2025. Slisz meanwhile, was a playmaking machine, averaging a career-high 4.9 assists per game and ranked ninth in the entire country in total assists (137) entering the First Round matchup against Johns Hopkins University. The New Britain, Conn., native had already became the all-time single season assist leader, and needed just one assist to became the all-time career assist leader.

HISTORY MADE

Slisz wasted little time achieving history, launching a long-range full-court pass at the 2:10 mark in the first quarter against the Blue Jays to Ouellette for a layup, becoming the all-time program leader for assists in a career.

Ouellette would have to wait until the third-quarter to secure a historical moment, draining a driving layup at the 4:15 mark to eclipse Stacy Manfredi and become the all-time leading scorer in USJ women's basketball history.

Ouellette would finish her career with 1,809 points and 856 rebounds, while Slisz ended her career with 348 total assists.
