Earths Patterns

How do Earth's patterns affect our lives?

Earth's patterns affect our lives because one of earth's patterns are night and day. According to my text, "Earth is tilted spinning in one place the Earth's rotation causes day and night." There are also seasons, caused by revolving. "Revolving is the Earth spinning but around the sun that causes seasons like summer and winter." This means that the patterns affect when we sleep and what we have to wear to stay warm or cold. That is why patterns on Earth affect our lives.

Dia De Los Muertos

For Dia De Los Muertos we learned all about it. We learned that people dress up as skeletons to make there dead loved ones feel welcomed. We learned what food they eat, and the altars.

What I learned

I picked the Atlantic Puffin to talk about its structures. The most important structures it has are its beak and wings. Without its beak it cant eat and without its wings it cant migrate. They are both used for the Puffins survival.

OWL PELLETS

What I did was I dissected an owl pellet. What I learned is that owls can eat a lot of things. In my owl pellet I found many MANY bones.

This is a chart of all the bones we found in the owl pellets

Energy unit

How can we create an energy plan to meet the needs of Las Vegas growing population.

Unit 3 Laws of Motion

How can I design an experiment to test one of Newton's laws of motion?

Materials: We will need a ping pong ball, a tennis ball, a marble, a hair dryer, and a scale and yard stick.

Procedure: Plug in the hair dryer and turn it on to the most powerful setting.

Put the tennis ball in front of the hair dryer, and see how far the ball rolls in 10 seconds.

Put down how far the tennis ball went and how much it weighs. Then graph the data.

Do the same thing that you did in step one and two, but with a ping pong ball.

See how much the ping pong ball weighs and graph the data again.

Again do the same thing in step one and two but with a marble.

See how much the marble weighs, and then graph the data.

Do all of this 3 times then graph it.
