TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK WILL BE MAY 6 - MAY 10

Hello Larson families! Let's flood our 95 amazing teachers and staff with love and appreciation. We have a fantastic week planned this year for Teacher Appreciation Week happening May 6 - May 10, 2024. We are bringing back the well-loved crock pot dish day , individual fresh flower arrangements for teachers and staff, stocking up the teachers lounge and a lot more! We need your help! Please check out the sign up genius to see if you can help the week of the event or donate an item.

TSD Salmon Release Invitation!

You are invited to join teachers and students from Athens, Larson, Boulan, and Martell as they release the salmon they’ve been raising in their classrooms into the Clinton River. We have several experts joining for the event and parents of the participating students will also be invited. Join us if you can! This is the second year in a row that we are running this event, check out the video below for footage from last year’s exciting event.

Relay for Life - Sheets Needed!

During our next STRONG day on May 16, we will be using the time to prepare for our Relay for Life Event. The committee has come up with a few ways to commemorate the event, one of which is to create multiple murals to pay tribute to the people that have been affected by cancer. We plan to place these murals in the middle of the bus loop while we walk.

In order to create these murals, we are looking for donations of 8 flat sheets (full or queen size) that we can use. If you have any light solid color (gray, white, beige, etc.) that you would be willing to give us, please bring them to Larson before our May 15! Thank you so much!

8th Grade Promotion Celebration

Forgotten Items and Lunch Drop Offs

To ensure safety and security, we are encouraging all student items to be dropped off on the blue cart in the vestibule and labeled with a sticky note. In addition to the sticky note, please use the Daily Drop off Log to put your students name and item. We will be going through the cart every hour to make sure items get to your student in a timely manner.

Student IDs

Please make sure your student has their ID on them at Larson. IDs help keep the flow of the lunch line moving and are necessary to check books and resources out of the media center. Thanks for your support!

Believe In Miracles: Jennathon 2024 5K

Looking for a fun, active opportunity to give back to our community? Believe in Miracles will be hosting Jennathon 2024 on Saturday, June 8th!! This is a 5k race (with other options as well) that benefits Believe in Miracles, a troy-based charity that grants wishes to kids who are struggling with life-threatening illnesses. Believe in Miracles was actually started by a former Larson student, Brett Kast, as his sister was receiving chemotherapy, so we have a very close connection with this organization and would greatly appreciate seeing familiar faces there!
