Raising Active Kids: A Mom’s Dream for Peloton Family Wellness

As a mom of two active little ones, Stacie Gutiérrez always championed the idea that movement can cultivate healthy habits from an early age. I mean, why not if they are so active anyway, right? Whether it’s racing through the backyard, stretching before bed, or enjoying weekend outings at the park, Gutiérrez wants her kids to see exercising as something fun rather than a chore. That’s why the mother of two gathered support from her Peloton community and contacted the company about a new concept—Peloton products made specifically for kids.

As devoted Peloton users for years, Gutiérrez and her husband seamlessly integrated fitness into their busy life with the bike and app. Lately, though, Gutiérrez noticed her children closely observing her while utilizing their Peloton program. They mimic her yoga poses, pretend to ride along on her bike journeys, and even attempt to mimic her workouts. This observation sparked a thought—"why isn’t there a Peloton designed for young kids to embark on their wellness journey?"

Imagine a child-friendly Peloton bike, crafted with safety first, featuring adjustable seats, playful designs, and interactive classes customized for children of all ages. Or picture a Peloton family plan that offers engaging, instructor-led movement sessions to allows parents and kids to work out together. Morning yoga and stretching routines, fun cardio challenges, and mindfulness practices aimed at helping children embrace lifelong wellness habits will also be key features of the program.

This led to her writing a letter to Peloton to request her dream service. As a mother with a strong desire for a child-friendly Peloton service, Gutiérrez was also able to get some other Peloton parents to write a letter as well. She felt the more letters Peloton received, the more likely they were to even consider the requests.

Starting a wellness routine at a young age is not only about physical wellness. It is about promoting confidence, discipline, and a love for exercising and fitness. Plus, when families engage in fitness together, it grows their connection in ways that screen time simply can’t. Stacie Gutiérrez mentioned how her family already read, cook, and travel together—why not make exercise another way to bond as a family?

Peloton recently announced the launch of Peloton Jr., their new program to promote youth fitness and family wellness. The outcry of moms, like Stacie Gutiérrez, prompted the company to take action and expand their services. Peloton Kids will allow young children to redirect some of their energy into a structured fitness program they can enjoy alone, or with other family members.

Peloton Jr. equipment and fitness classes will be released to existing Peloton subscribers in August of 2025 and new subscribers can purchase the new program in October of 2025. More information on Peloton Jr. can be found at www.onepeloton.com.
