South Africa's national promising player dies in robber shooting South African Football Shock-In mourning

A promising athlete from the Olympic national team was killed in a shooting.

According to foreign media on the 5th, Luke Fleur (24), a defender of the Kaiser Chiefs in the South African first division, was killed in a robbery attack in downtown Johannesburg.

"Fleur was shot while being robbed by a robber at a gas station outside the city on the night of the 3rd," local police announced.

Fleur was waiting in the driver's seat to receive gas when two armed gunmen appeared and pulled Fleur out and immediately opened fire. One of the suspects drove away with Fleur's stolen car. Police have yet to arrest the fugitive.

Popular club Kaiser Chiefs, a 12-time champion in the South African league, said, "It is very sad to announce that we have lost our lives tragically. I will pray for Fleur's family and friends," in mourning on social media.

Fleur is said to be a promising player who played as a member of South Africa's under-23 national team at the Tokyo Olympics and was about to make his A team debut.

On its website, the Chiefs introduced Fleur as a "luxury defender with great technical ability."

South Africa's Premier Soccer League (EPL) has decided to hold a moment of silence in all first and second division games this weekend in memory of Fleur. 안전 토토사이트
