I am Ross Nichols, from Bothell, Washington. I study Business Marketing and Global Business at the University of Arizona.

How did you hear about Beyond? I heard about Beyond as a camper at the Malibu Club in my last year of high school. I was sitting in the club room while I saw a short video highlighting what Beyond is all about. My leader (who had previously done Beyond) highly recommended I look into any way I could to get up on the trails.
What are you looking forward to this summer? I am looking forward to challenging myself both physically and mentally while taking people into beautiful landscapes. Showing them the power of our Creator while building their appreciation for hard work and mental toughness through the Lord's will.
How are you hoping to grow this summer? I hope to grow in my knowledge spiritually and in the outdoors; finding confidence in the back country through the help of extensive training while building a community of God-loving people.
What else should sponsors know about you? A goal I have while guiding is to spark a flame into people, just like my guides sparked a flame in me to find a love for the outdoors through God. With every piece of gear I will use on trail I hope to give someone else that same first step into all the amazing things Christ has for you through the outdoors.
What expenses are you fundraising to cover? My backpack, shoes, wool clothing layers, bivy, trekking poles, rain pants, harness, thermal layer.
