Review of Core Instructional Materials for Literacy & Science

  • It is time to evaluate our core instructional materials for literacy and science in grades five through eight. All materials we are considering are on the Indiana Department of Education’s High-Quality Curricular Materials lists. These lists, aligned with the future-focused 2023 Indiana Academic Standards, Next Level Programs of Study (NLPS) competencies, or College Board learning objectives, aim to support schools in the implementation of literacy instruction aligned with the science of reading and curricula for use with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
  • We invite any interested middle school parents to preview the materials we are considering and complete an evaluation form. Parents may come to our ESC (900 Mulberry Street; Door 31) on Tuesday, September 10th between 4:30 – 6:30 pm or Wednesday, September 11th between 8:00-10:00 am to review all materials. We value your input!
