Rivers Casino Pays Tribute to Host Communities
Rivers Casino and its operating parent company, Rush Street Gaming, are honoring their host communities in the best possible way, with synchronized celebrations of community engagement.
On Oct. 17, more than 6,000 team members at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Des Plaines, Illinois (Chicago area), Schenectady, N.Y., and Portsmouth, Virginia, will participate in "Rivers Give of Service 2023."
This combined initiative is the first of the company's long-standing localized "Rivers Give" program. Through Rivers Give, each Rivers casino annually contributes approximately 2,000 hours of volunteer time per property to its local non-profit partners. In addition to volunteering, Rivers Give includes board services, donation drives, in-kind donations, and corporate donations.
Rivers Gibbs will increasingly focus on health and human services, workforce development and economic opportunities, and support for U.S. troops and veterans, three essentials for improving the quality of life for the local casino community.
In a concerted effort to appreciate and enhance the cities that Rivers Casino each calls home, this week's typical Tuesday working day will start differently. Teams from each property will report to local health and wellness nonprofits instead of to game venues through voluntary sign-ups.
Casino volunteers will devote their time and energy to a range of tasks, from toy drops at local children's hospitals to the maintenance and cleaning of premises at local health centers to assembling treatment packages for cancer patients.
"Rivers Casino is dedicated to the health, well-being, and economic vitality of the communities we operate in and is dedicated to those who have served the country," said Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming. "By focusing our efforts around these key areas, we expect to increase our influence while continuing other community engagement initiatives throughout the year."
Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming contribute approximately $14 million annually across their operating markets to local non-profit partners and diverse community groups.
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh Partners With Mario Lemieux Foundation
Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh will work with the Mario Lemieux Foundation for Service Day. A group of team members will visit several Austin playgrounds throughout Allegheny County to deliver toys and items beneficial to children from families facing health problems.
Austin's playrooms are part of the Mario Lemieux Foundation's ongoing initiative to provide a playful and engaging environment for children while families focus on health and recovery. Currently, there are 43 Austin playrooms across Western Pennsylvania.
During the Oct. 17 working day, field team members at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh will participate in various activities. A glimmer of hope will be on the scene to provide information on breast cancer screenings. The casino will cooperate with Vitalant in conducting blood drives. In addition, the Allegheny Health Network will offer free biopsies.
In addition to our team members' in-kind donations, Rivers Casino will make a financial donation to the Mario Lemieux Foundation for the amount of $6,600 in honor of the hockey legend's jersey number.
Casino guests can also join the giveaway thanks to the Rivers Gives collection box, which will feature prominently on the game floor. Rivers delivers chips, cashless slot vouchers, and currency to the Mario Lemieux Foundation. 슬롯사이트 순위
