As part of Fire Prevention Month, first grade students had the opportunity to meet members of the South Otselic Fire & EMS and Pharsalia Fire Department to learn more about fire safety and the important role emergency responders play in our community. During the visit, students learned basic safety tips, explored the fire trucks up close, and spoke with the firefighters about their equipment and responsibilities. A highlight for students was getting to watch the firetruck spray water, which brought lots of excitement to the demonstration! A short video can be viewed here.
