UNDP Maldives Q3 newsletter 2023

Hello from the Maldives

There is a spirit of resilience that defines people of the Maldives: an unwavering commitment to safeguarding its present to protect its future. It is in this spirit that we look forward to the final months of 2023.

Our collective goal has remained to be focused, heads down and to deliver to our commitments in these last three months. We worked toward revitalizing the sustainable utilization of Maldives’ vast ocean resources and ensuring food security for this chain of islands. We concentrated our efforts on urban development, creating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, and promoting the health and well-being of people. We remain ready to assist on ensuring effective and transparent governance along with the reforms when and where needed.

Thank you for being a part of this journey as we get ready to sprint into a new chapter.

Enrico Gaveglia, UNDP Resident Representative in the Maldives.
