We are thrilled to be spending a week with you this summer! We have been praying, planning, and prepping for your arrival all year and we can’t wait to see what the Lord does in your kids. Below is important information specific to your week at Carolina Point. Please save the communications sent to you so you can maintain easy access to all of the information you will need for your trip. Feel free to call the Carolina Point office with any questions and the forms you will need are always available on the Carolina Point website.
Arrival & Departure
CAPERNAUM ARRIVAL: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST
CAPERNAUM Departure: 1:00 PM EST
*Please schedule your departure bus to arrive between 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM on the day of departure. Directions for pick up location will be given to the driver at the main gate.
Campers Leaving Early: A Permission to Leave Camp Early Form must be completed with the signature of a parent or guardian for all campers who are leaving camp with someone other than the trip leader (they may or may not be leaving early). This will be required by the camp along with a copy of the ID of the person picking the camper up. We cannot allow a camper to leave without these things.
Reservation check in & YLCC registration
- Summer Camp Leader Orientation - Updated for 2025 - All leaders* MUST complete the before arrival to camp. This is a requirement. *Reminder: buddies are not leaders and must be under the age of 18
- CPNM 10-Day Call-In Form - Due 10 days prior to your arrival by 12:00 PM (Noon) EST.
- All Registrations must be done in YLCC - Due 2 days prior to your arrival by 12:00 PM (Noon) EST.
- Final Check in on YLCC - all registrants must be checked in at the bus and any final changes made before departure. This can now be done through an app on your mobile phone!
- Day 1 Call-In - The Carolina Point Office will call on the morning you arrive to confirm that YLCC is up to date, discuss any changes, and get an accurate ETA.
Rides
Scheduled Rides at Carolina Point include: APEX Zip line, OGO, & Go Karts. APEX is a sign-up ride for Capernaum weeks. Free time rides include: Archery tag, Whiffle-ball, Frisbee Golf, Water slide, Paddleboards, Beach Volleyball, 9-Square, & Game Room games.
The APEX Zip Line has specific weight restrictions to keep in mind. The minimum weight required to ride the APEX is 100lbs; the maximum is 275lbs. Full control of one’s head and neck are also required.
National Young Life policy restricts certain activities for pregnant campers. Please refer to THIS document to view restrictions.
Retail
We now accept P-Cards in the store and snack bar! Cash back is not available for any credit or debit cards
Purchasing: Bulk t-shirt purchases (5+) need to be ordered through the YL online store in advance of arrival to camp. Group shirt orders are not available through the camp store. Bulk postcards (10+) for your area can be ordered through the Camp store - please contact easahhar@cpt.younglife.org by May 25th for postcards.
Housing
Cabins at Carolina Point hold 12-14 beds. Pillows, blankets, & bed packs will be provided. Housing requests must be completed in YLCC and available to camp 48 hours before arrival.
Electronics
All camper electronics will be collected at Welcome upon your arrival, according to Young Life Camping’s policy on electronics. We recommend suggesting that your leaders bring watches, alarm clocks, and cameras. Please collect, box, and label your campers' electronics, iPods, phones, Apple watches, etc., prior to your arrival at camp. As your bus is unloaded, Head Leaders will collect and store them in a safe location. Be sure to inform campers and parents that phones will be collected and cell service is not available at camp.
Medications & Health Forms
The Health Consent and Release Form is REQUIRED for all persons attending camp. The state of North Carolina does not require a doctor's signature on the form.
All medical information and medication instructions need to be communicated on the online Health Form. Areas have the option of keeping all meds and having them distributed by Med Pass Certified Leaders or turning medications into camp at arrival and having meds administered by the Camp medical team. Prior to May 1st each area will complete the Meds Collection Form letting camp know how your area plans to handle medications. Our kitchen is completely nut-free; we extensive special diet options available. Please make sure that all allergies are reported accurately on Health Forms.
