September 2025 Mother Margaret Mary Catholic High School

Let us Pray

As we begin this new school year, we come before You with grateful hearts.

You call us to be People of Hope, trusting in Your goodness and sharing Your light with others.

Bless our school community as we live out our school's motto:

May our Faith be strong, guiding our choices and deepening our love for You.

May our Excellence shine in our learning, our teaching, and our friendships.

May our Dedication inspire us to work hard, support one another, and grow each day.

Lord, fill us with hope so that we see challenges as opportunities,

success as a gift to be shared, and each person as a reflection of Your love.

We place this school year in Your hands,

and ask for Your blessing on our students, staff, and families.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Welcome

Welcome to the 2025 - 2026 school year. We are excited to embark on another year in your family's educational journey. Our goal is to continue to work together to provide an exceptional learning experience for your student(s). We invite you to review the information throughout this newsletter and our website.

Course Changes

We do our best to have the optimum schedule for our students. Sometimes we find ourselves in the position to offer only compromise. We ask that students and families work with us through this process.

Class Schedule

The class times at MMM have changed for this year. The day start and end time are very similar to past years. Changes have been made to include all four blocks on Thursday. We have added "Storm Time". Storm Time is an opportunity for teachers and students to connect for curricular reasons.

Student Responsibilities

Students at MMM are expected to conduct themselves in accordance the Student Responsibilities outlined on the school website. The sections include:

  • Rights
  • General Responsibilities
  • Student Punctuality and Attendance
  • Academic Integrity
  • Behavioural and Academic Responsibilities
  • Personal Mobile Devices and Social Media in School
  • Standard of Dress
  • Consequences for Unacceptable Behaviour
  • Parent and caregiver Responsibilities

Assessment

Last school year we noticed an increase in student dishonesty with respect to completion of assessments. For this reason we have had to adjust where students will complete assessments outside of the classroom. We will no longer allow students to complete assessments in the learning commons during spares or class time. We are also limiting the use of breakout rooms for assessments.

Due to school limitations and the importance of supervision, we also find ourselves in the position to not be able to provide exams or assessments to be written in seclusion. If a reduction of noise is required, we will provide noise cancelling headphones or earplugs.

Our academic integrity policy has been put in place to stress the importance of honesty while in high school and moving beyond. The consequences of academic dishonesty beyond high school can have a massive impact on a student's future. Our goal is to encourage students to represent themselves in a way in which they can be proud.
