For Emotions without Morals II, I wanted to reuse the Robot from Emotions without Morals I in 2018. The idea was to create a game and add some welded metal sculptures to the original wood sculpture. I removed some of the sensors from the Robot and left the light control to the game. I kept the Raspberry Pi and used one to drive the blinking eyes. The second was used to control the LED's and run the game, Simon. It's a color sequence matching game.
The user will find a palette shaped board that had 4 colored buttons on it. No instructions were given. Pressing any button would start the game. The correct sequence entered would advance the game and ultimately end with a dramatic color show if the player was successful. If you were not so lucky, colors unfamiliar to the game would appear and the game would reset. The project was regenerative, charging during the day with solar panels. Then running at night on an inverter and batteries.
