Clark University

Clark University finished fifth at last year's NEWMAC Championship. They return two NEWMAC All-Conference honorees in Danielle Chace and Lucy Powdermaker.

Coast Guard Academy

Coast Guard is coming off a fourth-place finish at the 2025 NEWMAC Championship. Currently ranked 11th nationally, the Bears recently topped No. 7-ranked Colby College at home and then defeated NEWMAC foe Mount Holyoke in the last weekend of regular-season racing. Alexis Pape was named to the CRCA Athletes to Watch list for 2026.

Mount Holyoke College

Mount Holyoke is coming off a sixth-place finish in last year's championship. The Lyons return All-Conference performer Katrina Holbrook and will look to vie for a title this year.

Simmons University

Simmons will look to move up from a seventh-place finish in 2025. The Sharks are under new leadership as former assistant Sandra Cardillo is serving as the interim head coach. All-Conference performers Ivy Maynard and Michaline Becknell return to the boat in 2026.

Smith College

Following a strong regular season and a great full team performance at the New York State Championships, the Bears are looking forward to lining up with the full NEWMAC field and executing the 2,000-meter course. Leading the charge for the Bears are Nadia Grinyuk and Sox Whitin, who were named to the CRCA Athlete to Watch list earlier this spring. Smith has maintained its top-10 national ranking throughout the spring season and has won at least a share of the Florence Jope Smith Cup the last two years. The Bears last won the NEWMAC Championship in 2024.

Wellesley College

The defending NEWMAC Champions, Wellesley, are currently ranked No. 5 by the CRCA. The Varsity Eight took sixth at Head Of The Charles in the fall, and recently earned top-10 wins over Bates and William Smith. The Varsity Eight boat features seniors Bronnie Bailey (2025 Second Team All-America and First Team All-Conference) and Hannah Bates (2025 NEWMAC First-Team All-Conference).

WPI

WPI placed second at last year's NEWMAC Championship and returns a strong nucleus from last year's NEWMAC Women's Rowing Championship lineup, particularly in the varsity eight, where Kate Lindsay, Charlotte Bourne and Victoria Serrambana are back after rowing in last spring's second-place boat. Serrambana also earned an All-Conference nod last season.
