Forden School 24th november 2023

Christmas Fayre

Thank you for all donations, help and support at the Christmas Fayre. The total raised was £580 for school funds and £78 for ASC.

Mrs Daffin will set up the Christmas stall again, after school on Wednesday, for another opportunity to buy some bargains.

Congratulations to Serah, Jobitha, Demi, Sean, Lara, Joslin, Charlie and Fletcher for completing a level on Lexia. Da iawn.

Criw Cymraeg

Heddiw, mae siaradwyr yr wythnos yn dosbarth Bedwen ydy Neive, yn Collen ydy Cameron ac yn dosbarth Ysgawen ydy Demi. Da iawn pawb.

Bring & Buy Sale

Having a tidy up and clear out before Christmas? Each year the pupils in Ysgawen hold a Bring and Buy sale to raise money for Hope House children's hospice. It also gives the younger children the opportunity to choose and pay for goods.

Please send in any donations of toys, books, etc that are in a good condition.

On Friday, children should bring a small amount of coins in a purse/wallet. The toys are priced as 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1. They will also need a shopping bag to put their purchases in.

Outdoor Learning

Please check each week which days your child with be having an outdoor learning session. They will need a change of footwear (wellies / boots) as it is getting quite muddy outside. We have some spare wellies in school, but are short of the larger sizes (sizes 12-4). If you have any at home your child has outgrown, please consider donating them to school.

Personalised Assessments

Over the past 2 weeks, pupils in years 2-6 have completed online assessments in maths and reading. They are able to share feedback with parents through their Hwb account. Further guidance on the personalised assessments and learner feedback is shown in the clips below:

Governor Vacancies

We have two vacancies on our governing body for Community Governors. These can be any member of the community and do not need to have a connection to the school. If you know of someone in Forden who has the skills or experience required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school, and would like this opportunity to help direct the strategic direction of the school, please contact Mrs Fowler.
