Our Facilities

Penn State Harrisburg Turf Stadium

In 2020, Penn State Harrisburg installed its brand new multipurpose turf field. This facility is home to the Penn State Harrisburg men and women’s soccer teams. It includes new turf, fencing, netting, official field lines for multiple sports, new field lighting and a 16 by 16 foot video scoreboard. In 2024 Phase 2 of the turf project included adding bathrooms, extra storage for equipment, press box and 750 seat stadium seating. This stadium complex is now one of the top turf facilities in the region.

  • Earned United East Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2025 with the Penn State Harrisburg Lions.

  • Career Coaching: Coached 1 DIII National Player of the Year, 5 All-Americans, 4 Academic All-Americans, 20 All-Region Players, 7 Conference Players of the Year, 4 Conference Tournament MVPs, 1 ASUN Goalkeeper of the Year, 1 ASUN Freshman of the Year, 1 ASUN Academic Player of the Year, 1 ASUN Tournament MVP and 4 ASUN All-Tournament Selections, 68 All Conference Players in Total, 9 CSC Academic All District Players, and 2 Pro Players.
  • Won 2 NCAA DIII National Titles as a player at Messiah College along with 3 Conference Championships. Was an All-American, All-Region, NCAA All-Tournament Team and 3x All-Conference Selection in his playing career.

  • Has had four goalkeepers earn United East All-Conference honors. Delaney Shifflett 2nd Team in 2021, Sydney Mulka 1st Team in 2022 and 2024 and Alexis Valenta 2nd Team 2025.
  • Helped guide 15 defenders to United East All-Conference Honors during his time here at Penn State Harrisburg
  • Guided Sydney Mulka to 3rd Team All-Region Honors in 2022.
  • Instrumental in Penn State Harrisburg setting shutout records of 14 2025. Penn State Harrisburg has posted 10 plus shutouts every season he has been here.
  • Guided Sydney Hemler and Kylie Yap to Defensive Player of the Year Honors as well as 14 defenders to all-conference honors since 2021 season
  • Guided four defenders to all-region honors (Mackenzie Mowery - 2T, Katie Brown - 3T, Sydney Hemler - 2T, Kylie Yap - 2T)

Assistant coach Jared Odenbeck

  • Finished second season with Penn State Harrisburg. Helped guide team to the 2024 and 2025 United East Regular Season and Tournament Titles and appearance in the NCAA DIII National Tournament in 2024 and 2025.

  • Played one season at Georgetown before transferring to Wake Forest. While at Wake Forest, he helped the Demon Deacons to an NCAA National Championship Game appearance in 2016, an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship, and a pair of regular season conference titles. Appearing in nearly 60 games for Wake Forest, he earned the Walt Chyzowych Award For Leadership and Character following his senior campaign.
  • After college, Odenbeck went on to play professionally, first for the Charlotte Independence in 2017 before heading to Sweden and Lindome GIF later that year. He joined Tormenta FC in 2018 and made his way to the Western Suburbs Football Club of the New Zealand Premier League the following season. He was a member of Stumptown Athletic for three years before joining FC Tucson in 2021. He followed it up by joining Ljungskile SK in Sweden for the 2022-23 seasons.
  • Prior coaching experience includes Performance Unlimited in Charlotte, N.C. in 2017 before coming onboard as an assistant with the Charlotte Eagles U19 group later that year. He became as assistant for Charlotte Christian School for three seasons and added U12 to his repertoire with Western Suburbs/Olé Football Academy in New Zealand in 2019.

  • Finished second season with Penn State Harrisburg. Helped guide team to 2024 and 2025 United East Regular Season and Tournament Titles and appearance in the NCAA DIII National Tournament in 2024 and 2025.
  • Helped guide the 2025 Penn State Harrisburg Women's Soccer Program to the NCAA DIII Sweet Sixteen for first time in program history.

  • Played 4 seasons in the midfield at Messiah University winning three MAC Commonwealth titles in 2018, 2019, and 2021. Won the 2019 NCAA DIII National Title. Set program record for assists in a single game and was on the All MAC Commonwealth Sportsmanship Team.
  • Is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Dr. Sara White PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert DN

Sara White joined the Penn State Harrisburg Women's Soccer Coaching Staff in the Spring of 2025. Her role will consist of injury prevention, monitoring of GPS/Hear Rate Data and physical screening of the players within the program.

Sara completed her academic pursuits at Lebanon Valley College, where she earned both her Bachelor's in Exercise Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During her studies, Sara completed her final clinical rotation with True Sports, providing her with valuable hands-on experience in a practical setting. Since then, she has worked with a variety of collegiate athletes, addressing various sports-related injuries and conditions.

This experience has allowed her to apply her academic knowledge to real-world situations, enhancing her skills as a physical therapist. Sara is also a Physical Therapist at True Sports since January of 2023. Sara has developed a particular interest in treating ligament tears and knee injuries. This specialization is influenced by her personal history with similar injuries, allowing her to empathize with her patients and understand the intricacies of their rehabilitation process.

As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Sara is committed to continuous learning and professional development. She regularly attends strength and conditioning conferences to stay updated with new information and studies, ensuring that she provides the best possible care to her patients based on current evidence-based practices.
