Willow Scribble "the greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence,"

Hello Willow Families,

Hope you are doing good. This month brings the most awaited days of the year- the last day of winter. I am excited about it and today I bring to you March quotes to help you get into the mood of spring too.

We completed second marking period. Thank you for taking time to meet with us during Parent Teacher Conferences. I enjoyed the opportunity to share your child's progress with you. Willow room was very active & will continue to do so. Children have started choosing their activity, learn life skills while doing the activity, interacting with teachers & other children and socializing with them to create friendly bond.

Practical Skills Area

In doing practical work activities, the child can develop a high level of concentration, take pride in completing a job, increase independence. The practical life curriculum in Montessori provides a scope and sequences for these everyday routines and practices.

Sensorial Skills Area

Montessori believed that children learn through their senses and that sensory activities help children develop their senses, problem-solving skills, and cognitive development. Sensorial area helps children clarify, classify, and understand the world around them.

Language Skills Area

Montessori language curriculum provides children with the knowledge and skills to build their vocabulary and understanding of language. Communication allows the child to express her needs and ideas to others.

Math Skills Area

The Montessori Method recognizes that young children learn best when directly engaging with concrete materials.

Artwork Area

In the Montessori environment, we provide open-ended art activities that help children explore and use their creativity.

Birthday Celebration

Last month we celebrated Arjun's 2nd Birthday in our classroom. Montessori birthday celebrations often include a "Walk Around the Sun". This tradition helps children understand how the months in a year relate to the seasons.

We are also helping the toddlers practice using toilet. We hope you will do the same at home. When your child shows any signs of readiness, we will support you.

Regards,

Mrs. Pise
