Newsletter Ysgol Deiniol 2nd February 2024

Dosbarth Tryfan - Today, in assembly we had two pupils come up to perform tricks in front of the whole school. Ralph and Charlotte were brave enough to perform a Yo-Yo and some card tricks for the enjoyment of all! It's part of their current class topic which is 'Wellbeing' and particularly, Five Ways To Wellbeing. One of the elements of it is Keep Learning. So, both Ralph and Charlotte decided to learn a new trick to then perform in front of the whole school. Da iawn!
Star In A Jar - Dosbarth Tegid Mawr have been writing superstars this week by exploring 'What Is In Their Jar?' Considering that they are only a term and a half into their Reception careers the standard of writing is amazing. Da iawn pawb for the stories and the cheeky grins!!
Penny's Monster Story - Tryfan have been very busy this week; as well as working on the 5 Ways To Wellbeing they have also been writing some monster stories! They began by writing a whole story with Mr. Perry before writing their own version of the story. The ending will be completed next week and I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens to Chilli and Taco!
Nursery Admissions - Please note that online admissions for Nursery 2024 are now open and will close on Friday 16th February. Please copy link into address bar for online applications below to secure your child's place at our school: www.wrexham.gov.uk/service/school-admissions/nursery-school-admissions
Easyfundraising - When making purchases online please can you go through the 'easyfundraising' app as a small percentage of the transaction will be sent to the Friends of Deiniol. It doesn't cost you anything at all and most online retailers take part: Amazon, John Lewis, M&S, Tui etc. Just download the app, choose Friends of Deiniol School Yard and then use the app to choose an online store to buy from. It's really simple to use and easy money for the school!
Recycled Clothes - Please keep bagging up and sending in any unwanted clothes to the school. It's really easy money for the Friends of Deiniol which is then sent back into school to help our children.
