About Erin
After completing college, I embarked on a transformative journey by immersing myself in the practice of Vinyasa yoga. In 2002, I eagerly enrolled in my first training program in Baptiste Yoga, which laid the foundation for my yoga teaching career. Over the years, I have dedicated countless hours to honing my skills through extensive practice and training.
Today, I proudly identify as a Vinyasa teacher, specializing in the renowned Jason Crandell method. Jason Crandell, my esteemed mentor and main teacher, has played a pivotal role in shaping my teaching style and deepening my understanding of the connection a safe and sustainable asana practice with the more subtle teachings and traditions of yoga. I often hear his voice in my head while I’m teaching, and I am proud to be able to share what I have learned through his teaching with my students.
With each passing day, I am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for Vinyasa yoga with others, helping them discover the transformative power it holds.
When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, you might find me walking my sweet dog, North, or spending time on the water with my husband John, and sons Jack and Clark. But more than likely, you could find me hunched over my dining room table, covered in a rainbow of gemstone beads, threading silks and wire, deeply engaged in my other passion of making beaded jewelry.
NYN co-owner, Erin, teaches Vinyasa 2 on Fridays at 9:30am and, through February, she's teaching 9am Vin 2 and 11am Mindful. She's also teaching a Keys to Mobility workshop focusing on shoulders on Saturday February 10, 1-2:30pm.

Of all the yoga studios in Savannah, why NYN?
Shortly after I moved to Savannah in 2021 I began looking for a new yoga studio. I saw advertisements for Yoga Jam sessions at the Maritime Museum and signed up. I believe I went to three of these sessions and really enjoyed the instructors and the community so I signed up to start taking classes at the studio, and I’m so glad I did. The studio is such a welcoming environment and I love the community. I’ve made friends with other classmates and instructors here and really value these relationships.
Which class on the NYN schedule is the class you do not want to miss? Why?
I really love Jessie’s VIN 2 class on Tuesday evenings. I feel so pumped afterwards and her music selections take me back to high school. I also feel like I can’t get through the week with out Jill’s Yin class on Monday nights. They are so relaxing and make my body feel so much better. As an EE I’ve been able to take classes from different instructors that I didn’t have a chance to practice with before and really love Will’s, Wayne’s, and Heather’s classes!
What is your favorite thing to do in Savannah?
I have so many things I love to do in Savannah! I love walking my dogs around Forsyth Park in the mornings, I love going to the Farmers Market, I love going to Tybee for the day, I love going out to eat and discovering new restaurants and I really love catching a show at Front Porch Improv.
Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us.
Something that might surprise you is that I served in the Navy in the early 2000's as a photographer. I also have a 21 year old daughter who lives here in Savannah.
