A note from the district about the upcoming school year;

As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, we would like to share information about our class placement process. Our district does not accept parent requests for specific teachers. Class placements are thoughtfully developed through a collaborative process involving multiple staff members. We carefully consider a variety of factors to create well-balanced classrooms, including gender, academic performance, behavioral considerations, special needs, peer relationships, and learning styles. Please know that we take great care in this work and are committed to creating the most supportive and balanced classroom experiences possible for all students. Our goal is to provide every child with the best possible learning environment so they can thrive. We appreciate your trust in our professional judgment and our commitment to making decisions in the best interest of every child.

Oliver and Ms. Karen met author Johnathan Rand at the Grace A Dow library!  They got their “chills” on and were reminded that reading isn’t something you do, it’s somewhere you go. Books don’t have covers, they have doors.  Books take you places!!

A GENERAL clothing guideline we use at school is:
  • Temps are 70+ - students do not need long sleeves and shorts are also appropriate
  • Temps are 60 to 69 degrees - students are asked to wear a long sleeves (hoodies or jackets work great)
  • Temps are 50 to 59 degrees - students are asked to wear hoodies or jackets
  • Temps are below 50 degree - coats are required
  • Students need snow pants, boots and coats once there is snow on the ground. Also, I ask students to keep their boots at school in the spring until the muddy thaw is over.

Don’t forget to check the Siebert website for important updates, forms, and links.
