Administrative rights, law and Georgia-EU relations in these matters

Human rights are inherent rights and freedoms that are considered universal and indivisible. They are based on the principles of dignity, equality and tolerance. It includes civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights.

Civil and political rights include rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, the right to a fair trial, and the right to vote and participate in government.

Economic, social and cultural rights include rights such as the right to work, the right to education, the right to health care and the right to an adequate standard of living.

Human rights also protect the rights of vulnerable groups such as women, children, minorities, refugees and persons with disabilities, ensuring that they are treated equally and protected under the law.

Human rights are enshrined in international legal instruments such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. States, including Georgia and EU member states, have an obligation to respect, protect and fulfill human rights according to international law.

Historically, the Georgian people have always been distinguished by their humanity and hospitality, which is close to European values. We have always tried to avoid bloodshed and solve the problem in a humane way. A clear example of this is the administrative system in Svans, e.g. "Lagnez Ligne". European Union for Culture, Language and the Arts

Europe has a wealth of cultural heritage, including historical landmarks, monuments, museums and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From ancient ruins and medieval castles to Renaissance art and modern architecture, Europe's cultural heritage reflects its long and complex history. Every year, the European Union spends millions of euros for their protection and restoration, and not only for the member states of the European Union, for example, the European Union allocated 2 million euros for the maintenance of the national museum.

The European Union is multilingual, it has 24 official languages. Linguistic diversity is an integral part of European culture and the EU promotes linguistic diversity through language learning programs and initiatives to preserve minority languages.

Europe has a strong art and literature that covers a wide range of genres and styles. European literature has produced some of the world's greatest literary works, from ancient epics such as the Odyssey and The Divine Comedy to modern classics such as War and Peace and One Hundred Years of Solitude. European artists also made significant contributions to the visual arts, music, theater, and film, shaping cultural movements such as the Renaissance, Romanticism, and Surrealism. What do you think of the "leopard" next to these wonderful products? Approaching and leaving the European Union will further promote the policing and development of Georgian culture.

Georgia-EU Relationships

Georgia's relations with the European Union (EU) have developed significantly over the years. After the collapse of the Soviet Union and independence in 1991, Georgia established closer ties with the European Union. Today, Georgia's goal is to become a full-fledged member of the European Union, which is also mentioned and spelt out in the Constitution of Georgia (Article 78. Integration in European and Euro-Atlantic structures. Constitutional bodies should take all measures within their powers to ensure Georgia's full integration into the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization).

With the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP): in 2004, Georgia became a part of the European Neighborhood Policy, the purpose of which was to strengthen the relations of the European Union with neighboring countries. This framework was the basis for cooperation and dialogue between Georgia and the EU on various issues, including political reforms, economic development and security.

Association Agreement (AA): One of the main milestones in Georgia-EU relations, the Association Agreement was signed in June 2014. The AA includes provisions on political association and economic integration between Georgia and the European Union. It also includes the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), which aims to promote trade and investment between the two sides by harmonizing regulations and standards.

Another important event was the process of visa liberalization for Georgian citizens, which includes visa-free travel to Schengen zone countries. In March 2017, the European Parliament and the Council adopted a regulation that allows citizens of Georgia with a biometric passport to travel without a visa.

The European Union supports and assists Georgia in carrying out reforms in various sectors, including governance, rule of law, human rights and economic modernization. Through financial assistance, technical expertise and capacity-building programmes, the EU aims to help Georgia strengthen its institutions and meet the requirements of the Association Agreement.

Political dialogue and cooperation: Georgia and the EU engage in regular political dialogue to discuss bilateral issues, regional developments and common challenges. This dialogue provides a platform to exchange views, coordinate policies and address mutual concerns such as security, stability and conflict resolution in the region.

Georgia is also part of the EU's Eastern Partnership initiative, which aims to deepen and strengthen relations between the EU and its Eastern European partners, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. The Eastern Partnership offers a framework for cooperation in areas such as democracy, governance, energy and people-to-people contacts.

At the end of the article, I would like to state my position regarding the current processes. I believe that the "Russian Law" violates Article 78 of the Constitution of Georgia and it prevents the development of the country's European democracy. My position and answer is #NoToRussianLaw!
