Her Mountain Majesty harkens back to a 60's Americana rock band that travelled through time to remind us to let go of what we thought was “right,” do what we love, and just be good to one another. Their live performance has been described as “magnetic,” and “cathartic” with sequin-adorned front woman Andi Lee Scher spellbinding you with vulnerable songwriting in one moment and head banging the next. Her Mountain Majesty is committed to bringing folks into community and presence, reminding us all of what makes us the same more so than the ways we are different. Their genre-bending sound captures something both retro and modern at the same time - drawing inspiration from folk, rock, blues, Americana, and soul. Imagine Janis Joplin meets Hurray for the Riff Raff meets Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats. Their debut album “Above the Water” is releasing on June 13th, and their very first single “Build a House in the Forest” has been getting spins on KBCS, KBFG, Local Roots Radio, and other local stations as well as over 40 playlists across the globe.
SHORT BIO Her Mountain Majesty is the music project of Andi Lee Scher, a Baltimore singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist currently in Seattle, WA. Recently described as "Mountain Rock", Her Mountain Majesty gives nods to rock, blues, folk, Americana, and soul while capturing fellow restless spirits and rebellious hearts pairs vulnerable songwriting with rocking the fuck out. The super group includes Jerett Samples on electric guitar (from Halley Greg, Payge Turner, Robbie Christmas and others), Greg Olson on bass (from Happy Heartbreak and Deer Heart), Doug Indrick on drums (known from Ghost Fetish), and Katrina Burrows on keyboard, vocals, and violin (from Canadian band Lutra Lutra). Nothing short of magnetic, Her Mountain Majesty builds an energetic forcefield of joy and togetherness that reminds us to say all the things we want to say, hold dear to the people we love, and offer a little light as we walk through this (often) dark world.
Their 2022 EP, A Little Light, resonated across influential Pacific Northwest radio stations including KEXP, KBCS, KBFG, and Local Roots Music NW, paving the way for their highly anticipated debut album, Above the Water, releasing summer 2025.
“Don’t let her growl fool you. These are songs are about love, about yearning for connection, looking at ourselves and thinking about how we can do better, about looking at each other and seeing something precious.”- Iaan Hughes, KBCS

LONG BIO
Her Mountain Majesty is the music project of Andi Lee Scher, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from outside Baltimore, MD. Scher has been writing songs and taking the stage since the age of 13 across Baltimore, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and now Seattle where she resides.
Drawing influence from folk, rock, blues, Americana, and soul, Her Mountain Majesty (HMM) is an energetic forcefield of love, heartbreak, belonging, and connection captivating audiences around Seattle since forming in March 2022. Previously Scher had performed as a solo act before bonding over whiskey and boat jams with Jerett Samples, a well-known guitarist in Seattle backing artists such as Payge Turner, Halley Greg, and RX to name a few. A Conor Byrne showcase quickly turned into pure magic when Jerett Samples brought on fellow Seattle musicians Greg Olson on bass and Doug Indrick on drums rounded out by fellow songbird Kat Wrecks on keys, harmonies, and violin.
What began as a self-produced recording project quickly transformed into a tour de force as HMM was quickly asked to play stages across Seattle including Sunset Tavern, Conor Byrne, Barboza, Tractor Tavern, Central Saloon, and Skylark among others - not to mention headlining High Dive on Thursday October 20, 2022 to celebrate their EP Release "A Little Light" (hitting streaming platforms on November 11, 2022).
Once asked, “Which mountain is Her Mountain Majesty?” Scher responded, "Whichever mountain humbles you and reminds you to be infinitely grateful that we get to experience this life at all. Perhaps for you it’s the ocean, an old growth forest, or even the birds that visit outside your window each morning. Whatever it is that connects you back to the Earth and back to yourself, bow down to it, and often, in reverence. For me, that is Mount Rainier."
However, the real roots of the name Her Mountain Majesty is a play on the "purple mountains majesty" and is in homage to the countless women in history that have paved the way for women’s voices to be heard, women like Katherine Lee Bates who penned "America, the Beautiful". The United States was shaped by women and marginalized people - a detail that history tends to forget. Her Mountain Majesty is a reimagining of what the world could look like if we came together in presence and compassion with one another and put diverse voices in positions of power that will ensure a future of equality, peace, and prosperity for all, not just a limited few. It starts with community, and HMM aspires to build safe spaces of joy and connection through music as a first step towards that kind of togetherness.
