Impact report

A MESSAGE FROM THE Interim President/CEO

I have been with Town & Country Credit Union for 23 years and am privileged to serve in this interim role, leading our talented credit union team. While many things have changed over the years (just check out our new Trinity Health partnership or our online Credit Score service), one thing has never wavered — our credit union’s commitment to providing exceptional member service.

In 2023, Town & Country Credit Union earned a Net Promoter® Score (NPS) of 79, above the gold standard benchmark NPS for the financial service industry. We also took home the Best Credit Union title in the Fargo Forum’s Best of the Red River Valley awards, as well as Best Credit Union and Best Customer Service in the Minot Daily News Best of the Best awards this year. With accolades like this, it’s clear that we continue to live up to our commitment to exceptional member service.

I look forward to continuing this legacy of providing the best service and meaningful value to our over 27,000 members.

Thank you for choosing Town & Country Credit Union!

A MESSAGE FROM THE Board Chair

As a volunteer Board member, I have the privilege of representing our members and helping to ensure Town & Country Credit Union is fulfilling its mission of positively impacting those we serve. This Impact Report is not only a visual year-in-review; it’s evidence of all those wonderful positive impacts our credit union team has made possible.

For example, we launched our small business grant program this year, which provided funds to four member-owned small businesses that they used to create their own positive impact. We also gave back over $40,000 to our youngest members in the form of youth deposit matches and birthday promotions.

I encourage you to read this entire report to learn more about all the ways our credit union impacts our members and communities.

While this report looks back to 2023, our organization continues moving forward. I want to thank Kalli Schell for stepping into the Interim President/CEO role in February 2024 in response to the resignation of our prior President/CEO, Brad Houle. I’m confident that her depth of experience at Town & Country will serve our members well during this time.

MAKING HOME HAPPEN

Making home happen

“Peter Johnson has a great understanding of what he’s doing. He explained the process to me, including what I needed to do and the verifications required to secure a mortgage, in a way I could easily understand. I thank God that he was the one I worked with because the process went smoothly and was even enjoyable with no hiccups. I now own my beautiful home through Town & Country with a very good interest rate. Thank you, Town & Country!” ~ Remi B.

We helped members secure

550 mortgages

for home purchases, remodeling, debt consolidation, new construction, lot purchases and refinances

187 of those mortgages were for First Time Homebuyers.

Our members were able to take advantage of special loan programs, ensuring they received the best loan for their situation.

SUPPORTING BUSINESS & AGRICULTURE

We are deeply committed to supporting local businesses and agriculture producers, providing trusted advice and financing. This commitment has made us the country’s 3rd largest NCUA-insured agriculture lender.

$72,956,559 in Ag and Commercial Loan Growth

In July, we introduced the Small Business Grant program as a way to show appreciation for our business members. Four member-owned small businesses making a significant impact in our communities each received a $2,500 grant. To apply, Town & Country business members are asked to submit an essay answering the question, “How would your small business use $2,500 to create a positive impact on your staff, customers or the community?”

Congratulations to our inaugural recipients!
