Bio

Diezel Braxton-Lewis is from Los Angeles, California studying as a senior acting major at the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts at Howard University. His most up-to-date work includes working on short films and performing in the D.C. area as a director and actor. Diezel is also a part of Howard University’s Disney Storyteller program where he will be spotlighting his film, Another Time, Another Place, and he is a member of the fifth cohort for Howard Entertainment. He recently wrapped his debut theatre production at Howard University’s Theatre Arts program, starring as Lester in Big White Fog, directed by Eric Ruffin. Outside of Howard, he has trained with Tisha Campbell's acting program and London's Identity School of Acting. Additionally, Diezel is represented by Dreamscope Management/Tracy Christian Agency. His post-graduation plans include attending the Oxford BADA program and marketing his upcoming short film.

Artist Statement

Diezel Braxton-Lewis is a multi-hyphenated artist who is committed to good storytelling through many mediums of theatre and film. His goal is to collaborate and make projects that touch the hearts of millions and become an inspiration to black children on the spectrum. Although his first love of the medium is through acting, Diezel prides himself in being the missing piece of the puzzle for many projects as a director and writer. He believes that the only way the world will change is through the creation of empathy for others, making the world a better place through art. Diezel intends to inspire the change the world deserves and become an inspiration for others to do the same.
