#1: Panthers hold Buccaneers under 20 points, and they get 2 interceptions This year the Buccaneers offense has mainly relied on the pass game this year, but today is going to be different. The Panthers are top half of the league in least pass yards allowed, and they are 8th best in least passing TDs allowed. Over the last 5 games, Mayfield has toppled over 200 yards twice, but those two games were games when they were down and had to pass a lot. Besides those two games, Mayfield has had 145, 122, and 194 yards 1 of those games against the Panthers. For the Buccaneers when it comes to scoring they rely on the pass a lot more, as the Panthers are bottom 10 in Rush TDs per game. The Panthers thrive off the pass defense, and since the that’s what the Buccaneers rely on, Mayfield and the Bucs score under 20. Mayfield has only 1 game of the last 7 without an interception, and for the Panthers who are a top pass defense, they will stifle Mayfield this week.
#2: Brock Purdy outplays Sam Darnold
Over the last 3 games Sam Darnold has had a lower than 85 rating, and has averaged only 1 TD a game. For Purdy, he has averaged a rating of 128, and 297 passing yards, and 4 TDs. Over the last 5 games Sam Darnold has averaged a low 62.7 completion percentage, while Purdy has averaged 70%. Overall the last 3 games the 49ers allow the 10th least completion percentage, while the Seahawks are 8th. The 49ers may have the upper hand on Darnold though, as Kyle Shanahan coached Darnold for a year, and the 49ers defense is one of the best leagues defenses as of recent. I say today Purdy will outperform Darnold, and they Likley beat Seattle.
#3: JSN secures Offensive player of the year over Christian McCaffery
This one already seems obvious, but today will solidify JSNs case, as everything is lined up perfectly. 1st off, Seattle is 4th best in least rush yards allowed, and the least rush yards per carry, and the least rushing TDs. This will for sure be a close game, so the 49ers will pass more, and even while McCaffey gets to run, he will clearly get stopped as the Seahawks have a top run defense. JSN today gets a lot easier matchup against the 49ers pass defense. The 49ers are 12th worst in receiving yards allowed, they are bottom 10 in receptions allowed, and bottom 10 in overall ranked receiver defense. Everything is perfectly in line for JSN to exceed today, and Mcaffery to struggle.
