DUNES Heavy riffs from the northern desert

‘Haunting guitar and pulsating Sabbath bass riffs, the vocals carry you along on the back of some of the best riffs I’ve heard in a long time. Stoner rock at its absolute best.’ -Moshville Times

About

Dunes are a stoner rock/alt-rock band based in Newcastle, UK. Known for marrying up hard hitting riffs with hook-laden melodies, the three-piece channel a handful of Northern grit through the fuzzed-out, cranked-up, trip-tinged sounds of the infamous generator parties of the 90’s desert rock scene and the beer-soaked, sweat-drenched, feedback engulfed clubs of the grunge era.

Ade - Bass

Forming in 2016 Dunes quickly made a name for themselves in their native Northeast before setting their sights further afield and have since earned a solid reputation for themselves on the UK stoner rock scene. This has seen them share the stage with the likes of Fatso Jetson, Nick Oliveri, Alain Johannes, Red Fang, High Desert Queen, Monster Magnet, Sasquatch, Truckfighters, Ritual King, Psychlona and many more.

John - Guitar & Vocals
'Into stoner rock? You need to give Dunes a listen; finely tuned desert rock.' - ERB Magazine
Nikky - Drums

Dunes have performed at a plethora of festivals including Desertfest London, Bloodstock Open Air, Masters of the Riff, Ruination Festival and Idlefest in the UK and overseas at Fuzz Festival Stockholm (SE), Fuzz Festival Malmö (SE) and Love For Loud Festival (NL) with more planned throughout 2024 and 2025.

‘The song blasts through the gate with an explosive barrage of grungy riffs slicing through the airwaves like a rogue buzzsaw, driven by a powerful chugging bass line and thunderous drums.’ Eclectic Music Lover
