Boat Raced Iowa Hawkeyes buried the Minnesota Golden Gophers 41-3 at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City

The Iowa Hawkeyes, fresh off their tank-emptying win over Penn State last week met the red-hot Minnesota Golden Gophers who blasted the Nebraska Cornhuskers also seven days ago. The last meeting at Kinnick Stadium between the schools resulted in the first Gopher win in the series in forever, capped off by the "false signal" from return man Cooper DeJean that wiped away an electrifying punt return for a would-be touchdown.

This time, there would be no debate to decide the game whatsoever. The Hawkeyes thoroughly dismantled the Gophers in all three phases of the game. Fueled by a Zach Lutmer pick six, a 29-yard strike in the end zone from Mark Gronowski to Reece Vander Zee, and a 50-yard punt return taken to the house by Kaden Wetjen, the Hawkeyes exploded for 41 points while only giving up 3.
