It has been a wonderful return to Nursery after our Winter break. We have all settled back in so quickly and have already enjoyed some exciting activities.
Term 2 was a busy one! A huge thank you yet again to Quinn’s for donating a Selection Box to every single child in the school and the Early Years Class . This was very much appreciated!
To prepare for the year ahead, please ensure you are registered with iPay, the platform used to order school lunches. All school trips and events must be paid for through iPay. The school will no longer accept cash payments. Register or log in at: https://www.ipayimpact.co.uk
Lastly, remember to take a note of upcoming events and dates leading up to our Easter break, which are at the end of the newsletter. If you can support with any of these please let Miss Henderson know during pick up or drop off.
Many thanks and best wishes!
Mr Robin Cameron-Longden, Depute Head Teacher

Parent Survey
We would appreciate hearing your views about the nursery to help to continually improve our service. Please follow the link below to complete our survey. It should take no longer than 5 minutes.
Reminders!
Attendance and Punctuality: Regular attendance is crucial for academic success. Please make sure your child arrives on time each day, ready to learn and play. If your child will be absent, kindly contact Mrs Henderson or the school office.
Communication: We value strong communication with our parent/carers. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak with our practitioner at the door or your child's key worker during drop off and pick-up. You can also call the school office to speak with Mr Cameron-Longden.
Winter Clothing: With the change of temperature it is important that we make sure everyone is dressed appropriately for the weather. During these colder months please make sure you send your child in with a hat, scarf and gloves that are all named. You are welcome to leave these on your child's peg if you have an extra set at home. This will allow them to access the outdoors while things are a little colder.
Please visit our school website for more information about the school's development and all past and future newsletters. Visit our school Facebook page to keep up to date with what is happening within the school
P1 Informal Transition
Our P1 informal transition begins on Monday 16th of January. This is a weekly opportunity for the pre school children to play in the P1 open area, so they can begin to familiarise themselves with this area of the school. These visits do not involve the class teacher. Early Years staff will take the children down to the P1 open where they will play for about 30 minutes. During this time they may also play with out current P1 and P2 pupils.
More formal transition will begin in term 4 with information about this shared nearer the time.
