The Mind

Art is more than just the end product, its the laughter, the tears, the frustration, defeat, anger, and every little emotion you could possibly name. For this section of the narrative, I wanted to highlight the emotional process, the rollercoaster if you will, that the artist may go through whilst working through their art.

I spent much of this narrative going about my regular artistic routine of working on different projects here and there and then finding moments when I was feeling a strong emotion, whether that was joy, sadness, or frustration. I also set up some situations where I posed with some of my art because I'm very proud of all that I have accomplished! You'll see though that my mother had made a very funny joke behind the scenes and I couldn't hold it together. I think she knew I was a bit nervous to pose as I was and took the opportunity to cheer me up, especially since I was surrounded by paintings that I had more or less abandoned.
