Foxes Fun Run

This morning, Foxes Class took part in the annual Christmas Fun Run on the Hardenhuish and Sheldon playing fields. The weather was very kind, although the grass was very muddy! Foxes did a great job of representing Monkton Park alongside all of the Chippenham primaries. There was some super Christmas singing as well as great participation in the Christmas trail round the field. It was also great to see lots of ex-Monkton pupils helping out.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Thanks again to everyone who took part in the Advent Calendar raffle last week, which raised a superb £150. Also thank you to everyone who has donated teddies and chocolate this week, ready for the Christmas Fair.

When is the Fair? Friday 15th December, 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

All the Fair preparations are well underway, but we still need some more volunteers to help run the Christmas Fair on the night please. We particularly need volunteers to run the cafe stall, the bar, and activities (like the popular Guess the Units in the Basket of Booze stall) during the fair. We also need extra pairs of hands to help set everything up from 3.15pm to 5.15pm (you can bring your children with you). Please check out the list of roles at https://volunteersignup.org/RYQDC

We hope to see everyone at the Fair on Friday. We will have contactless payment available on some stalls, but, if possible, please support us by bringing cash to avoid the card transaction fees. The children always love spending small change at the Fair!

Finally, a reminder about raffle tickets. Books of raffle tickets were sent home with your child last Friday, 1st December. Please return the ticket stubs (fill out your contact details first) with the money for the tickets you want to buy in an envelope to the school office by Thursday 14th December. Please also return any unsold tickets to the office. We will have volunteers selling raffle tickets at the KS2 performances on Thursday, along with advance tickets for Santa's Grotto at the Christmas Fair.

Merry Christmas
