Pickleball Nanaimo Donates Paddles

The Nanaimo Pickleball Club (NPC) members recently donated a class set of "experienced paddles" to the students of John Barsby and Ladysmith secondary schools, aiding in the experience and development of this rapidly growing game within the community and North America.

Prior to this delivery of the paddles to the schools, the NPC offered a program to the physical education classes within Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools in hopes of developing a Junior Pickleball Program. The NPC secured two grants which allowed for the purchase of balls and paddles as well as providing instructors for beginning and intermediate players.

They are offering instruction through fun activities to each secondary school or youth community group in Nanaimo, free of charge. Contact the Pickleball Club to find out more.
