Jolly Trolley Park Tour 2023

GTrans, and the Gardena Police Department, participated in the Jolly Trolley Park Tour by safely escorting Santa and guests around the Gardena City streets to spread holiday spirit.
Attendees were able to join in raffles, grab a cup of cocoa and take a photo with Santa.

Winter Wonderland

Students from Gardena High School participated in the festivities.
There's nothing like a little snow to get you in the holiday spirit.
Inflatable and human Santa also stopped by Winter Wonderland to take some photos and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Breakfast with Santa

Residents woke up bright and early to celebrate the holiday season.

Volunteers, city staff, and families gathered inside the Nakaoka Community Center to feast on an assortment of delicious breakfast foods, while others took photos with Santa on the City Hall lawn.

Holiday Boutique

Vendors and shoppers gathered at the Nakaoka Community Center to explore handmade crafts, Christmas decorations, and other one of a kind items.

Helping Hands

Community members, as well as local business owners, donated and wrapped toys to help families in need.

Volunteers helped organize and distribute gifts.
Staff brought their Holiday Spirit while helping.
Kids were overjoyed to receive their gifts.
The Human Services Department looked amazing as staff greeted attendees and volunteers.

Shop with a Cop

Shop with a Cop is a special time where the community and Police come together.

The toy aisles were a very popular place to be.
Target was full of happy faces, as families posed with Police Officers at this year's Shop with a Cop event.

Glow in the Dark Kickball

Mas Fukai Park was lit up, as participants decked themselves in their best "glow in the dark" attire and played a competitive but friendly game of kickball, at the City's first ever Glow in the Dark Kickball event.

Gtrans' Community Meetings

GTrans hosted two community meetings for existing paratransit riders and seniors, explaining details about how GTrans’ new Flexi service will operate. Topics varied from steps to register, to eligibility requirements and cost to ride.

Stuff a Bus

GTrans participated in KJLH radio station's House Full of Toys Stuff A Bus event.

GTrans provided a bus and helped the KJLH radio team fill it with the generous donations from the community.

Relief Bus Operator Graduation

GTrans celebrated a Relief Bus Operator graduation, welcoming four new employees to the team.

New Crosswalk at Vermont Ave. and 133rd St.

Check out the new crosswalk that will help pedestrians cross safely.

Council Chambers Design and Build AV Upgrade

The Council Chambers received an audio and visual components upgrade.
