When I got to college, I wanted to fulfill the question:

"How can we do ALL we can, WHILE we can?"

I was super excited to do everything I could and make the most of my time at UCLA! There was so much I wanted to try and do. I decided to live by: "GO FOR IT"! Make the most of exploring your passions and all your campus has to offer. Take initiative to start something new and always keep moving forward, thinking "what is the best that I can do right now?"

I love design because of its applicability to everything I do! Design is communication, expression, and identity- no matter what I'm involved in, it's always needed.

Adobe Express has been my go-to tool to create designs that help elevate everything I'm involved in! And the best part is - it's free for students!

Check out how I use Adobe Express to help design my college experience, from clubs to class.

I used Adobe Express to design accessible presentation templates for my school's Adobe Creatives Club events and promotional posts!

They have all kinds of templates to use if I'm on a time crunch + lots of freedom with design assets and Creative Cloud software connectivity if I want to create from scratch!

I've been fortunate to be a featured Adobe MAX Online speaker! I was anxious since it was a huge project but doing it in Adobe Express streamlined the entire process. The video editing capabilities made compiling and creating simple, even for a thirty minute video!

Adobe Express was also amazing for making more complex posts like carousels and animated graphics for Kyodo Taiko!

The Remove Background and Erase tools easily level up all my designs, and the one-click animation options are really versatile.

I've also used Adobe Express's video editing capabilities to teach songs and film drumming tutorials!

I love to design club merch as well- the design to the left was a t-shirt I created! I started off ideation in the Adobe Fresco drawing app, then created most of the design in Adobe Illustrator before easily bringing my assets into Adobe Express for finishing touches!

ABOVE: Final mockup for Kyodo's 2024-25 t-shirt!

Adobe Express is also great for creating your own brand guidelines and templates- they have an inbuilt system catered to inputting fonts, logos, colors, assets and more! I used it for the Taiko Taikai's yearly branding, merch drops, and post templates.

I've also created simple sheet music in Adobe Express for our beginner musicians to learn 'ukulele tabs from, as well as promotional posters! Downloading in different formats, ordering prints, and resizing my designs is just one click away!

All students get at least 6 months free of Adobe Express Premium!⋆.˚⟡⋆。˚⋆❀ ࣪

Adobe Express is an incredible tool because of its accessibility (quick and easy to use!), versatility (it's an all in one tool!), and connectivity to other Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop and Illustrator. Endless extensions, features, and possibilities- this WHOLE website was made in Adobe Express!
