🎉 Welcome and Welcome Back, Colleagues! Let’s Make This Year Epic!
Tools of the Trade
At CITI, we believe that great teaching drives great learning. We're here to partner with you to elevate student engagement, empower learning, and create transformative classroom experiences that help every student thrive. Your toolkit is below:
We’re Listening: Help Us Help You
You do incredible work every day—teaching, mentoring, creating, researching—and your CITI team is here to make sure you have the tools, resources, and support you need to thrive. We’ve created this quick survey as another way to partner with you. Think of it as a conversation starter: tell us what kinds of workshops, topics, and services would be most helpful for you, and let us know how we can best show up for you in your academic journey. Your voice will help shape what we offer this year, so we can make sure our programs are not just relevant, but energizing, practical, and worth your time. It only takes a few minutes, but your feedback will have a lasting impact. Let’s make this a year of growth, collaboration, and success—together.

FOCUS ON AI
The Adobe Education Team presents:
Beyond the Plagiarism Panic: Rethinking Learning and Leadership in the Age of AI
Free Webinar: Tuesday, August 19 11 am EST
"AI is already transforming the classroom, and in higher education, it’s prompting some tough questions. Should we ban it? Call it cheating? Pretend it’s not happening? This session takes a different route. Instead of reacting with plagiarism panic, colleges and universities have a chance to lead by reimagining how AI fits into teaching, learning, and assessment. We’ll look at how institutions are using AI to foster student creativity, critical thinking, and career readiness, while still upholding academic integrity."
We’ll dive into:
- How to use AI to boost student engagement, faculty innovation, and institutional distinction
- Ways to support faculty in building assignments that are authentic, accountable, and intellectually challenging — not easily gamed by AI
- Approaches that empower students to explain, critique, and stand behind their AI-assisted work (just like they’ll need to in the workforce)
- Policy and guidance frameworks that support ethical AI use — from idea development to research support — without going full automation
- Tactics to preserve and promote critical thinking when it’s tempting to let AI take the wheel
