Living Stations of the Cross - A St. Peter 4th Grade Tradition

Congratulations to 5th grade student, Connor Hogan - St. Peter Student of the Year!

Connor represented St. Peter School and made it to the top 5 students in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

Congratulations to Mrs. Jamie McWilliams, St. Peter Alumni of the Year!

As a St. Peter Catholic School graduate of 1984, Mrs. Jamie McWilliams has given back to the St. Peter school community for many years, including 6 years as a Key Cottage and religion teacher. Jamie and her husband have continued to show great support to Catholic education by sending six of their children to St. Peter Catholic School and surrounding Catholic high schools, volunteering in many capacities and sponsoring school wide events. Jamie is a woman of deep faith in the church and school community, evangelizing others through her great witness as a loving wife and mother. Jamie continues to generously give back to the St. Peter Catholic Church community by serving on the Pastoral Council.

Congratulations to the 6th grade students who were recognized for the highest average in each subject: Collin Baumgartner - Science, Callie Wetzel - Religion, Beau Blanchard - Religion, Kyle Dunaway - Honors ELA, Colette Lamere - Social Studies, Hailey Brack - ELA and not pictured: Andrew Borne - Math.
Congratulations to the 7th grade students who were recognized for the highest average in each subject: Elwyn Perry - Social Studies, Ana Ziifle - Religion, Leila Strahan - Math, Bella Brouillette - Science, Kate Brauner - Honors ELA, and Henry Daigle - Social Studies and ELA.
Mr. Kraus recognized our 7th grade students at their final all-school Mass of the year. Thank you to all of our 7th grade Altar Servers who served their final all-school Mass today, as well.
Students participated in a schoolwide Virtue 360 before Mass this morning. Middle school students visited Key Cottage - 3rd grade classes to create a Lenten craft.

Congratulations to 7th grade student, Henry Daigle, who placed second at the state science fair with his project “What surface makes athletes run faster?”

As part of our Tech-Free Holy Week, Mr. Kraus and Mrs. Johnson’s Coding classes participated in a Hobbit themed “Escape Room!”

Our 5th grade students enjoyed a field trip to the Stennis Space Center!
Ms. Grace's Pre-K class celebrated her upcoming wedding with a bridal shower! Congratulations to Ms. Grace!

Our 7th grade students took their cap and gown photos last week!
Congratulations to 5th grade student, Matthew Ziifle, who won 1st Place at the 2024 Hawk Academic Challenge on March 9th!
Mr. Chip's Woodworking class made name art using the woodburning tools!
Our Dads' Club had a great turnout on Monday night! Thank you to Sam Francis, St. Peter dad and St. Paul's Athletic Director for being our guest speaker! Congratulations to Joshua Riley on winning the $1,000 tuition credit for attending all of the Dads' Club meetings this year!
The Martha Mary Club, 15 middle school girls, helped prepare the church for candlelight stations and the Easter Vigil.
Mr. Goss and the Campus Ministry came to visit Mrs. Morris's Pre-K class this week. The students loved watching the campus ministry’s Bible story play performance.
Mrs. Clapper’s first grade religion classes finished up a seven week unit on the Sacraments by making healing kits for anointing of the sick! Fr. Bru even brought over some of the balsam that goes in the Chrism oil for us to smell.
