Penny Wars
Thank you for all of the donations that came in for our Penny Wars! We raised over $1200! I will announce grade level winners on Tuesday.
(REMINDER) Elearning: April 8th
As a reminder, all Greenfield-Central Schools will be on an Elearning Day, Monday, April 8th. Students will not be onsite that day, but will have assignments to complete on their ipads. There will be no LIVE instruction that day or virtual meetings to join.
(Reminder) ILEARN/IREAD-3
ILEARN State Testing will begin for 3rd grade ONLY, on Monday, April 15th. Please try and work appointments, avoidable absences around these days. Thank you!

IREAD-3: For families of 3rd and 2nd graders, you should have been notified via ParentSquare over Spring Break of your child's results. If you were not notified, please contact Amy Sutton, JBS Principal.
(Reminder) Updated Covid Guidance
Effective immediately, GC will be following the updated guidance from the CDC for returning to school after a positive covid test. Those who test positive for covid will need to remain home until 24 hours fever-free without the use of medication and their symptoms are improving.
Once people resume normal activities, they are encouraged to take additional prevention strategies for the next 5 days to curb disease spread, such as taking more steps for cleaner air, enhancing hygiene practices, wearing a well-fitting mask, keeping a distance from others, and/or getting tested for respiratory viruses.
(REMINDER) SNACKS
Each classroom at JB has a designated snack time to help our students stay fueled for the school day! Please send in a healthy snack with your child each day. You can also send in bulk items to share with the class, we are always appreciative of donations.
(Reminder) Kindergarten Enrollment for 2024-2025
Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open! Any child who will turn 5 years old on or before August 1, 2024 is eligible to register! Registration is key to ensuring you are receiving important communication from your home elementary school on next steps to start your child's education journey. Please help us spread the word!
JBS Kindergarten Round-Up Dates: April 15 & 17 from 3:00pm-6:00pm (appointments required) Information on how to set up an appointment for your child will be sent via email to families who register.
Family Literacy Learning Corner (reminder)
School Dismissal Manager (reminder)
All school dismissal changes now go through School Dismissal Manager. You do NOT need to call the office if you put your change/absence in the APP. You should receive a confirmation email from SDM with your update.
IPADS (reminder)
This year, student iPads will be turned off from the hours of 7:00pm-6:00am, as they are not needed for instructional purposes during this time. Please be sure and charge iPads each night and limit use of them for non-school purposes. Thanks for your help!
J.B WAY (reminder)
Our JB Way is our expectations of students. We expect JB Cougars to be Respectful, Responsible and Kind! When we "catch" students following the JB Way, they are recognized by earning a Cougar Buck. Students also earn a Cougar Buck each day they are at school. They can then cash those bucks in for small prizes and fun coupons. Big thanks to our PTO for sponsoring the prizes!

- Doors Open: 7:30am
- Tardy Bell: 7:45am
- Breakfast (optional/paid): 7:30am-7:45am (if your child is eating breakfast at school, please be sure to get them to school by 7:30am, so they have plenty of time to eat)
- Dismissal: 2:10pm
Volunteer Form (reminder)
If you're interested in volunteering this school year, attending field trips, etc, all volunteers must complete a Volunteer Profile application, found by clicking here, before volunteering. This form must be completed each school year. We look forward to having you at JB!
