Outside the lines
Our team had some great outreach into the community this fall. Our team started with a joint effort with the Men's Lacrosse program and had a fantastic Pick up and Play day where we were able to give back to the game we love, connecting with children with their first experience of lacrosse!
We also collaborated through the Marist community to find opportunities to support causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness, the annual Hunger Walk, and participated in the Giving Tree Ceremony (There is one lucky kid with some new wheels!). We also had the privilege of helping with Field Day with the New Wings Program in which we played football, soccer, and volleyball… It was a truly enjoyable experience showcasing team skills and the fun of competition. More importantly, it was enriching to help create a positive atmosphere and connect with the wonderful young adults in this program. Building those relationships and seeing their enthusiasm made it all the more rewarding.
We would like to also give a special thanks!
