Create an Intro Video using Adobe After Effects

Welcome to this introductory lesson on creating an Intro Video using Adobe After Effects! In this tutorial, we'll explore the fascinating world of motion graphics by taking a static image and bringing it to life through the magic of keyframes, adding blur and opacity effects, and finally, saving and exporting your project. We hope this lesson will help you get started with the fundamentals of Adobe After Effects.

  • Create a Composition: Establish a new composition by configuring the settings such as frame rate and resolution for your video.
  • Import Your Images: Import your chosen static image into your project by dragging and dropping it into the composition panel.
  • Animate with Keyframes: Add movement to your image by selecting the image layer, setting initial values for properties like position, scale, and rotation, and then moving the playhead to different points on the timeline to adjust these properties and create smooth animation by adding keyframes.
  • Apply Effects: Enhance your animation by adding blur and opacity effects. To do this, access the Effects & Presets panel, drag and drop the desired blur or opacity effect onto your image layer in the timeline, and further customize these effects using the Effects Control panel.
  • Export Your Video: Prepare your intro video for export by configuring the export settings in the Render Queue. Specify the format, codec, resolution, and other options as needed, and then initiate the rendering process to create the final video file.
  • Have some fun with it!
