Eye Exams

  • All 5th grade, 8th grade, or new-to-Zionsville Schools students will have a vision screening at school on Thursday, September 28th, 2023.
  • If your student wears glasses or contacts, please encourage them to wear them for the screening.
  • The Indiana Department of Education requires annual vision screening for all first, third, fifth and eighth graders, special education students, newly enrolled students and those suspected of having visual defects. This screening is performed by the Lions Club of Zionsville. Students who test at 20/40 or above will be recommended for further examination. This screening does not replace a complete eye evaluation given by a physician but is a fair assessment of visual acuity.
  • If your child is recommended for a follow up visit, please let us know the results of that exam after they have visited the doctor. (mlafontaine@zcs.k12.in.us)
  • Also, if you need assistance with your child’s vision referral for financial or other reasons, the Lions Club of Zionsville may have resources to assist.

Nurse Clinic News

  • Indiana code (IC 20-34-4-5) states that all children attending public schools in our state shall be immunized according to requirements set forth by the Indiana State Department of Health. Please ensure that the health clinic professional in your child’s school has been supplied with the most up-to-date copy of your child’s immunization records!
