Thursday 28 November 2024, from 9.30am
We are excited to invite parents/carers, family and friends to our Year 11 Presentation on Thursday 28 November 2024, starting at 9.30am. A special event that highlights the achievements and progress of our students. This is a wonderful opportunity to witness the hard work and dedication of our Year 11 students. Your support plays a crucial role in our students' success, and we would love for you to be there to encourage them and share in their achievements. We look forward to seeing you there!
Dear Parents/Carers
We have been notified of a case of Whooping Cough in the Kingscliff High School Community.
Please see the below link for information on symptoms, management of the infection and limiting the spread of Whooping Cough.
Beyond the Broncos Update
The Beyond the Broncos Program is a learning enrichment initiative designed to enhance student outcomes in leadership, aspirations, belonging, experiences, academics, and empowerment. We achieve this through culturally safe, strengths-based mentoring support that encourages students to thrive both personally and academically.
Workshops
Each term, Beyond the Broncos students engage in interactive workshops led by our dedicated Ambassadors.
Term 3 Workshop: This term’s workshop, delivered in partnership with the Australian Electoral Commission, focused on the vital topic of voting. Students explored the historical significance of voting for First Nations people and gained insights into the preferential voting system. To apply their newfound knowledge, they participated in a fun voting exercise, casting their votes for their favourite Broncos player!
Term 4 Workshop: Looking ahead, our upcoming rewards workshop will feature a variety of engaging team-building activities. This session provides an excellent opportunity for students to reflect on their achievements throughout the year and celebrate their successes together.
Year 12 Graduation
We recently celebrated the Year 12 Graduations for the class of 2024 in Lismore and Tweed Heads. Families, Student Support Officers (SSOs), and school staff came together to honour this significant milestone. The ceremonies were presented by our inspiring Ambassadors, Ryna James, Nathan Peats, and Justin Hodges, who shared motivational messages with the graduates. Students also had the chance to express their aspirations for the future, inspiring their peers as they embark on their next chapter.
Leadership Excursion
In Term 3, select Northern NSW students attended the annual Beyond the Broncos Leadership Camp, where they joined fellow leadership students from South East QLD. Participants engaged in a series of development initiatives aimed at enhancing their leadership skills and capacities. This experience fostered collaboration, communication, and critical thinking—essential qualities for future leaders.
NSW Parliament Excursion
Seven exceptional Beyond the Broncos students represented our program at NSW Parliament, where they had the opportunity to meet with local members Janelle Saffin and Geoff Provest, as well as Aboriginal Affairs Minister David Harris and Parliamentary Secretary Greg Warren. This was a unique chance for students to engage with political processes and understand the importance of civic involvement.
During this excursion, students visited Sydney University’s Gadigal Centre to learn about academic pathways, campus life, and transitioning from school to further studies. They also enjoyed a memorable harbor cruise and visited Taronga Zoo, enriching their experience with fun and educational activities.
Rewards Program
We believe in celebrating student success each term by recognizing their efforts and achievements based on attendance, effort, and participation in the Beyond the Broncos Program.
Term 3 Rewards: Thanks to our sponsorship with ASICS, students who achieved 90% attendance, demonstrated positive behaviour, and engaged actively in Term 3 received a pair of ASICS shoes—a reward for their hard work and commitment.
Term 4 Rewards: Continuing our partnership with ASICS, students who meet the same criteria in Term 4 will be rewarded with a 2024 Brisbane Broncos Jersey, further motivating them to excel.
Dreamworld Event
In partnership with Dreamworld, students who achieve 90% attendance, positive behavior, and consistent engagement in the program across Terms 1, 2, and 3 will be invited to a special rewards event at Dreamworld later in December. This event promises to be an exciting culmination of their efforts throughout the year.
End-of-Year Rewards
As a token of appreciation for their participation in the Beyond the Broncos Program, each student will receive a rewards bag containing a towel, socks, lunch, and a footy. This small gesture is a way to recognize their commitment and engagement.
Student Voice Survey
We are excited to announce the upcoming Student Voice Survey, designed to gather valuable feedback on the program. This survey will help us understand students’ experiences and ensure we maintain high standards in our service delivery.

Attention all Parents/Carers
On behalf of our P&C President we would like to remind you that everyone is invited to attend the school's upcoming P&C Meeting.
This will be our final meeting for the year – scheduled for this evening Monday 18 November 2024 at 6:00 pm.
This meeting is not an AGM, however it will be held at Cudgen Surf Club, upstairs in the meeting room.
This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with other parents and staff, discuss what’s happening within the school, and explore how we can best support our students and families. The casual setting also provides a chance to connect with the school community in a relaxed atmosphere. It would be great to support the Surf Club by purchasing a drink or meal from the bistro during the meeting.
For those who cannot attend in person, there will be an option to join via Microsoft Teams. Simply click on "Join the meeting now" under the Microsoft Teams link provided below, which will be accessible from 6:00 pm on the evening of the meeting.
We look forward to meeting everyone!
