About Me
I am an experienced pole dancer and instructor currently based in Manchester. I have been pole dancing for 8 years and have 5 years teaching experience. Specialism #1: Powerful Static
I have two signature styles that I specialise in 'Powerful Static' (detailed below) and Old School dance. This is not an official description but, I would describe this style as having dynamic powerful movement, static rotations, with a heavy emphasis on arms-only skills.
Specialism #2: Old School
Old school is my absolute favourite dance style! There is a heavy focus on connection with the audience - making your presence on stage known. The slow, fluid, controlled execution of tricks and the emphasis on circular movement (pirouettes, step-arounds, dips..)
Additional Projects
I had the exciting opportunity to star in a Fashion Communication project titled ‘Pole’ by Ellie Drinkwater. As a part of the project, I was interviewed on my stance of the stigma surrounding pole dance. I discussed 'gimmicky' rebranding and hashtag trends which enforce a divide between strippers and hobbyist pole dancers. I’m passionate about de-stigmatising pole and thankful that this project gave me the space to discuss it.
Performance
During my coaching residency at LJMU Pole Dance Club, I performed in and choreographed several student showcases. My most recent performance was in the Halloween-themed student showcase at Cloud Aerial Arts.
