The football game on Oct. 31 was a game to remember for DHS. The Chargers took on Waterford Mott and came out with a 51-15 win. Even though Mott scored first, 19 seconds into the game, it didn't take DHS didn't take long to answer back. Junior quarterback Wynn Diegel threw an 11-yard touchdown to senior Ben Marinik.
Diegel threw 334 yards and four touchdowns, hitting senior Hattan Zimmer twice in the end zone and also connecting with senior Riley Crenshaw for a 37-yard play. On the ground, senior Garlands Randolph rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior and kicker Boston Diamond scored a 37-yard field goal. Junior Finn MacGregor intercepted Mott's pass late in the game and took it 98 yards to the end zone.
Overall, DHS played well, and worked together as a team, which contributed to their success.

Senior running back Garlands Randolph's touchdown. Randolph ended up with two touchdowns and 170 yards on the night.
"Scoring that touchdown to give our team the momentum, you know, that's one more, we have to get more, it's just determination and teamwork."
Junior free safety Landon Williams with an interception. Williams ended the night with one catch for 31 yards, a fumble recovery and one interception.
"Once I caught it and I was corralled by my teammates, it was one of the best feelings."
