Lily Moy
"It was an amazing two days of competition and quite possibly the best mid-season invitational results and performances ever by both teams. Specifically, Colby's combined scores put them above seven of the eight teams with a total number of 1,626.50 points, just shy of Bates' total score of 1722. The women's team earned 662 points, while the men's team tallied 964.50.” - Head Coach Tom Burton

Women's Ice Hockey Scores Four in First Period, Runs Away From Bowdoin

Meg Rittenhouse

In Friday night's opener of the home-and-home series with Bowdoin, the Mules wasted little time getting on the board. Meg Rittenhouse scored only 12 seconds into play, and the Mules never looked back. Megan Martodam, Maria Pierce, and Breanna Studley all beat the Bowdoin goaltender in the opening period cruising to a 4-0 lead after one, also proving to be the final.

Colby's defense was smothering, led by goaltender Grace Caligiuri who recorded her third shutout in as many games to start the season. Rittenhouse added two assists to her score, and she now leads the NESCAC for goals/game and points/game. With two more assists Friday night, teammate Sophie Melsness currently ranks second in the conference in assists/game.
