Last Week's Highlights
Week In Review
As we head into the final stretch before winter break, our team has been busy making things happen across the district. Here is what everyone has been up to:
Michelle partnered with the intermediate unit and special education team to tackle the 12-1 report, submitted most of the data, and created a helpful graduation attribution report for Stacy Gray. Laurel and Anneliese worked on the oneroster staff import for Naviance, supported middle school counselors with program planning, and joined a workflow user group to explore new hall pass features. Corey teamed up with Andrew for the weekly firewall audit, checked appliance backups, and kept security patches on track while supporting the lightspeed policy migration. Jesse visited Groveland twice, connected with Sarah Manno’s class for math games, and ensured new iPads are in teachers’ hands while prepping older ones for resale. Nick brought holiday cheer as Santa on Kutz’s holly jolly bus, helped with OneNote printing, and fixed plenty of screens. Andrew led strategic meetings on impersonation policy, Ringcentral sms rollout, and Finalsite payments, oversaw lightspeed v2 upgrades, and collaborated on Cleartouch planning and copilot audits.
Will began auditing elementary network hardware for summer upgrades, researched meraki switches, and broke down access point reports for full power optimization. Kevin explored campus payments for school stores, set up hall pass locations at cb west, and met with nurse coordinators and social workers to improve communication tools. Carina advanced the tech refresh canvas course, read to first graders at Groveland, shared screencasting and ada tips, and continued planning for the ai pilot. Harry updated ClearTouch panels, coordinated printer firmware updates, supported keystone testing software, and helped create a festive vibe for our holiday lunch. Dan focused on the mtss academic dashboard viz, fixed custom sql issues, and troubleshot IEP Dropbox problems.
Chris solved IEP dropbox access issues, created a workaround for absence processing, revamped counseling rubrics, and handled transportation password resets. Miles troubleshot a 3d printer and worked on Cleartouch collage connectivity. Ryan resolved camera issues with avigilon and turnkey, worked on cell phone extender fixes, and began upgrading district cell phones while exploring ringcentral texting. Mike tested juice gpu over ip, deployed intune laps policies, and made multiple apps available in the company portal, including cleartouch collage and bambu studio. Anneliese resolved canvas tickets, addressed membean roster issues, supported integrations for science resources, and coordinated with vendors on copilot and app access. Kristie supported new staff account setups, assisted families and staff through the help desk, and kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Thanks to everyone for your hard work and creativity. The energy and collaboration across the team are setting us up for a strong finish to 2025. Let’s keep the momentum going as we head into winter break!
Shout-Outs or Appreciations
The Shout-Outs & Appreciation section highlights team members who went above and beyond to support their colleagues, solve problems, and contribute to the success of our department. All nominated by you from the form!
Mike Kelly is driving innovation with groundbreaking research into GPU sharing to support digital arts project rendering. Our high school techs Ed Koszarek, Jim Boulton, and Mike Saile, along with ESC techs Jim Baldridge, Katherine Moyer, and Harrison Radovich, went above and beyond to keep Keystone testing running smoothly this week. A big cheer for the CB West admins and pilot teachers who tested IC Hall Pass and helped us move closer to streamlined hall management. Ashley and Kristie brought holiday magic to our luncheon with entertainment that made the event merry and bright. And Katherine deserves special thanks for setting up phone paging at Admin and Ops, ensuring communication stayed seamless.
See the Good, Be the Good
This week was full of energy, collaboration, and holiday spirit across our district. The Network team brought smiles to Groveland Elementary by joining a friendly kickball match with fifth graders. It was wonderful to see the excitement and good vibes throughout the school, with teachers and staff in great spirits. Our team also supported advanced learning opportunities for fifteen high school students through the Biotech Partnership Program, helping them explore cutting-edge technology and future career paths. We gathered for the IPS luncheon to celebrate the Tech and Innovation Department, sharing good food and great conversation as we reflect on a successful year. At Kutz Elementary, the Holly Jolly Express rolled in on Thursday, collecting donations for The Woman’s Place. Miles and Nick joined the festivities, adding to the joy and community spirit of the season. These moments remind us that technology is not just about systems and devices; it is about people, connections, and creating opportunities. Thank you to everyone for making this week special as we head toward winter break.
