☕️ Happiness is often embodied in a good cup of coffee.

Santosh, the Roastmaster-Extraordinaire at Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea packs joy and gratitude in his daily grind to live up to his name.
The name Santosh is "Satisfaction", "Gratification" or "Happiness." In South Indian languages, Santosh often implies happiness. In Sanskrit the word means contentment.
When you enter the Roastery at Vail Mountain Coffee and Tea Company in Minturn, there are two distinct smells. One is the aroma of freshly brewed coffee within the glassed-in Roastery Cafe (a 1,300-square-foot portion of the 7,150-square-foot building.) The other fragrant in the air is from fresh coffee beans being roasted in the background.
Through an unobtrusive glass one can view all steps involving this esteemed coffee business, from breaking a burlap sack of unroasted green coffee bean to slapping a label onto a 12 oz whole bean coffee packet and all the daily tasks in between.
Santosh Neupane hails from the Dolakha, a region centrally located in Nepal. This is also the home of the well-known Bhimeshwar Temple. Just some 24.7 kilometers (15.28 miles) away is Mt. Gaurishankar, a mountain in the Himalayas.
Roasting coffee and brightening up coffee drinker’s day gives Santosh the contentment and satisfaction where he feels at home living in the central Colorado Rockies.

When pointed out that his roasting machine resembles a smiley face, Santosh said “Yes, I see it, I will smile back,” he said with a glee.
